As part of a new center of excellence, you will lead a team to identify and execute new proof of concept opportunities for the Retail Investor Group Division (RIG). This role will work closely with senior leaders to understand top business goals and problems, and partner with IT to launch PoCs for new solutions that address and prioritize problems. You will be a part of providing a single narrative of our delivered value, ensuring consistency in our application and sharing of best practices across the division in a more structured way. Bring your experience across a range of technology solutions, including Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Automation, and Digitization to Vanguard. Make it count.

In this role you will:

  • Establish a vision for how to approach and execute proofs of concept.
  • Build strategic relationships across sites, departments, divisions, and internal and external partners.
  • Translate business problems into use cases for new technology.
  • Lead a team, and create a culture of continuous learning.
  • Measure the effectiveness of the team and each proof of concept.
  • Identify new areas of innovation across industries that could be applied at Vanguard.

You will be a part of creating an organization of thriving functional experts that cultivate deep expertise in areas central to RIG’s success. Together we will build a depth of knowledge in a set of specific areas, bringing that knowledge to bear in our everyday work, and in developing others around us. What it takes:

  • Minimum of eight years related work experience with at least four years of project management experience. Previous people-leadership experience preferred.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.
  • Experience with a variety of solutions in the AI/ML space, different applications and vendors preferred.
  • Industry knowledge of best practices, and clear commitment to continuous research of new trends, etc.
  • Proven ability to adapt quickly, learn new business areas, evaluate issues, identify and validate problems areas, negotiate scope changes.
  • Exhibits strong persuasion and influence skills with key partners.
  • Exceptional conceptual, analysis, and problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Agile principles with strong digital and technical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results while working in cross-functional environment.
  • Strong written, oral, and presentation communication skills.
  • Vanguard is not offering Visa sponsorship for this role.
