Overview of Retail Strategic Support (RSS):

As the center of excellence for RIG, RSS will provide a single narrative of the value delivered, ensuring consistency in the application and sharing of best practices across the division in a more structured way.  Our goal is to create an organization of thriving functional experts and cultivate deep expertise in areas spinal to RIG’s success. In this role:

As the subdivisions pod leader you are responsible for maturing and scaling the Business Intelligence and analytics function. You will interface with sub divisional leadership or their proxy (e.g. Ops Readiness Ops Consultant) to understand organizational needs and coordinate solutions, leading the BI& A team, and instituting development and operational practices. 

How you'll spend your days:
•     Day to day management of team, including operational stability, development of processes and learning and growth
•    Draw on strong analytics and statistical knowledge to organize research or development projects, including identification of relevant data, data extraction and transformation, data modeling and visualizations. 
•    Leads the BI&A team to develop the roles, skills, processes and collaboration with other teams necessary to improve solution delivery, speed and improve outcomes.
•    Serve as a PO for new BI reporting, drive recommendations for enhancements to existing BI or new capabilities.
•    Manage BI&A request backlog and report on progress to stakeholders.

Core Responsibilities

1. Hires, evaluates, and supervises crew. Provides guidance and training as necessary to develop crew. Sets performance standards, reviews performance, and makes informed compensation decisions in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.

2. Engages with key stakeholders to understand business strategy, questions and goals. Brings structure to business requests, translates requirements into an analytical project approach, and oversees schedules, resources and deliverables of team to ensure successful succesful completion of multiple data projects.

3. Prepares and delivers presentations that translate analytic insights into tangible, actionable solutions for business partners to implement.

4. Collects, analyzes and communicates statistics related to daily business operations. Uses findings to develop processes, procedures, workflows to improve operational effectiveness.

5. Develops and maintains strong internal and external relationships in order to manage data projects and coordinate resolution of operational problems and issues.

6. Assists in developing short and long-term initiatives for department to align with business strategies. Participates in business planning activities and development of budgets to determine feasability and resource needs.

7. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years related work experience.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
