As a Senior Tax and Wealth Planning Specialist, you’ll be part of a team advising our Personal Advisor Wealth Management (PAWM) ultra-high net worth clients and their families through their unique and complex investment journeys by providing advanced estate planning, income tax and financial planning analysis. You will provide trusted advice, education and a world class client experience and play an instrumental role in making sure the assets our clients have worked hard to accumulate benefit the people or organizations they care about the most.
In this role, you will
- Leverage expert knowledge of complex income and estate tax and financial planning topics to develop holistic solutions for clients with net worth of $15MM+, focused on advanced estate, wealth transfer and income tax planning strategies; executive compensation issues; business owner transition; asset protection; insurance planning; and suitability of prospective trusteeships.
- Review and analyze complex estate and wealth planning documents and income tax returns.
- Communicate effectively with and accurately interpret ideas, information, and of complex ultra-high net worth clients and families.
- Maintain an understanding of financial, estate, and income tax planning topics; and stay current with personal income and wealth transfer tax laws and wealth management industry trends and competitive offerings.
- Supports Wealth & Estate Planning Services in its effort to build and develop wealth planning acumen of PAWM advisors.
- Possess strong relationship management and team building skills, and views team concept as critical to model.
- Participate in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
What it takes
- Knowledge of wealth management industry trends and developments
- Strong client relationship, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to identify opportunities and execute solutions both strategically and tactically.
- Proven ability to work with tenured financial professionals, and relationship managers in team environment, and facilitate a collaborative environment.
- Undergraduate degree required. Masters in taxation, JD or CPA or equivalent combination of training and experience preferred.
- . CFP preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive advanced income and estate tax planning experience, including depth of experience working with ultra-high net worth clientele of $15MM+, or equivalent work experience demonstrating technical competence in advanced income and estate planning strategies
- Proficient in Microsoft applications – Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Ability to travel 20 – 30%.
