Inclusion at Vanguard
There are many reasons Vanguard is unlike any other financial firm; but none as prominent or powerful as our people. For starters, Vanguard employees are known as crew members, and they form a trusting, supportive community in which all crew members worldwide feel a sense of belonging. We believe our culture of inclusion is essential for each of us to fully thrive in our careers and to provide superior value to our clients and communities.
What does this inclusive environment look and feel like at Vanguard? We believe that crew members feel valued and form stronger connections when we:
- Seek to understand and learn about one another through genuine dialogue.
- Respect differing viewpoints and experiences.
- Listen humbly to others in a way that leaves them feeling heard and honored.
- Express empathy for the challenges faced and experiences of others.
- Are curious and entertain new ways of thinking so that we can learn from others and grow personally and professionally.
- Celebrate the many dimensions of diversity that all crew members bring to the workplace.
It is in the actions that we take with one another every day that the truest inclusive environment is realized. When all crew members feel valued and included, our ability to collaborate and innovate is amplified, and we are united in providing loyalty-inspiring service and low-cost investment products to millions of clients around the globe.
Crew Resource Groups (CRGs)
