SPEAKER: I grew up in the Philly area, and I actually went to Drexel University and graduated with a marketing and international business degree. As part of my job search, my husband had actually proposed to me about Vanguard. And so as I did some research, I applied, and my first job out of college was at Vanguard starting in 401(k) business, and being a client relationship administrator, and talking to all participants every day about their retirement savings, and educating them about what’s available for them for them to invest in their future.
One thing I’m particularly proud of is my accomplishment for becoming a people leader here at Vanguard, and through that journey to get there and all the mentors and managers that I’ve had in supporting of that. I love the people and the culture here at Vanguard. That is the one thing that I love the most, and that is reason why I’ve continued my journey and my career here and investing more time in it because everyone here is so supportive. And I just can’t imagine any other company offering a similar structure.
What I would tell someone who’s looking to join my team would be have an enthusiasm, a growth mindset, and have that willingness to try out new things and be part of the team.
