We are seeking a Technical Manager to support our Control-M/Engineering team (combo of OPS and Development). The ideal candidate should have previous IT Operations Management and leadership experience.
In this role you will:
- Hire, evaluate, and supervise crew. Provide guidance and training as necessary to develop crew. Set performance standards, review performance, and make informed compensation decisions in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.
- Manage the resolution of the most complex platform issues elevated from staff and clients.
- Manage technical support staff who implement, monitor, troubleshoot, and install platforms across all systems. Plans, develops, and executes short range goals and strategies to meet department, divisional, and corporate objectives.
- Develop and implement changes to department policies and standard operating procedures to meet changing business needs. Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement. Leads quality initiatives to improve the delivery of service levels.
- Responsible for delivering hardware and software maintenance and ensuring maintenance of critical technology is completed. Collaborates with key stakeholders to develop and maintain standards for platforms. Implements new technologies for enterprise-wide infrastructure projects.
- Develop technical standards to serve Vanguard technical needs. Manages the ongoing performance of IT vendor products and services
- Learn and understand client area business functions and requirements. Determines the appropriate technical tool to address the client's business needs.
What it takes:
Minimum of 8+ years combination of technical & technical management experience.
Undergraduate degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of training and experience.
SaaS and multi-cloud experience a plus!
Strong communication skills with application development community
Experience managing ambiguity in developing multi-cloud implementation.
Vendor Management with BMC Control-m and/or scheduling tool experience, a plus but not required.
Multi-Cloud scheduling tool integration and/or SaaS tool management experience, a plus but not required.
Full stack team management in Technical Operations environment experience, a plus but not required.
